Assignment 06

Our last assignment is on Conceptual Portraiture. I was really looking forward to this assignment so much because we get to express our creativity through abstract concepts on the theme, "Looking into the Ordinary". I've always like the idea of how different interpretations can come from a single picture.

For this assignment, i have decided to do on the "7 Deadly Sins". I vividly remembered watching e show "Se7en" acted by Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman and was intrigued by it. The plot was about how a serial killer performed his murders which were inspired by the seven deadly sins. Ever since the show i got very fascinated with the theme.

To that i decided to do a totally different approach on this theme since we are expected to do conceptual photography. My thought process goes along innocence vs sinned so i decided to show this using colours. I planned for the person to be wearing white to represent the state of innocence and purity. For the "sins" i have decided to use coloured cloth wrapped and twined strategically around the model to "taint" the clean state of a person.
